Hot stones are incorporated into a reflexology session to further enhance the benefits of the treatment. Hot Stone Reflexology uses a range of smooth, basalt stones to heat the lower legs and feet and therefore brings an even deeper level of relaxation.
What happens during a Hot Stone Reflexology treatment?
The treatment starts by using hot stones to massage the lower legs to relieve tension in the calf muscles. Afterwards small stones are placed between the toes of one foot, which is then wrapped in a towel - whilst the other foot is given a full treatment using various size stones to work the different reflexes and points. Hot stones are used throughout the treatment. The heat helps to relax the muscles in the feet, allowing the therapist to work deeper into the reflex areas.
It is a completely different experience to a standard reflexology session. It is ideal for you if you tend to feel cold and love the heat
Please ensure that you wear loose fitting clothing during the treatment to enable me to work the whole leg up to the knee.
The Temperature of the stones are regulated in a specially designed bag to ensure they are kept at the correct temperature throughout the treatment. Of course, the stones are always cleansed between clients.
