Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing (TMW)

  • Are you experiencing tension in your body and mind?
  • Does your life move so fast that sometimes you forget to breathe?
  • Have you forgotten what it’s like to feel at peace with yourself?
  • Do you ever feel uprooted – blown around by life’s challenges?

What is Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing (TMW)?

TMW is a specially developed sequence of movements which promotes physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing. It combines the essential elements of Tai Chi and Chi Kung to allow you to feel the benefits of these wonderful arts easily, offering you greater confidence, reducing stress and tension, and putting a spring in your step!

The aim of TMW is to support you in continuing good health and wellbeing, so you can get the most out of your life.

TMW is embodied mindfulness, aiming to bring presence, relaxation, mental and emotional stability and self-worth to the participant.

Is it for you?

TMW benefits everyone, at all ages and stages. To enjoy a form of exercise that’s accessible, flexible and easy is crucial in keeping you relaxed, healthy and full of wellbeing. The movements and gestures are inherently graceful and flowing and can be practised both sitting and standing, or a combination of the two. TMW is truly accessible to all.

The essential principles underlying the sequence enable you to explore TMW for yourself. This allows you to strengthen the particular areas that need attention, in your own time and in your own way.

Benefits may include:

Physical/emotional wellbeing

Self-care and self-healing

Increased self-confidence

Improved attention and concentration

Calmness and relaxation
