Your Therapist

My name is Karine Prescott. I have been practising Reflexology for 18 years in Bristol and I simply love it! I trained at the Bristol School of Holistic Therapies and was awarded a Distinction for both my Diploma in Reflexology and my Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology.

I am qualified and experienced - please go to testimonials to read the views of my clients.

My aim is to always give the best treatments possible to my clients.

I have a particular interest in treating clients suffering from stress. I have therefore put together specific packages in order to help clients feel better and release accumulated stress and tension – it is ideal for you if you would like to remember what being relaxed feels like!

I attended numerous further training courses such as "Stress, Wellbeing and Reflexology", "Pain and Mobility Master Class Vertical Reflex Therapy", "Precision Reflexology", "Maternity Reflexology", "Hot Stone Reflexology", "Aromareflex", Acupressure Facial Therapy/ "Facial Reflexology" and "Finger Free Reflexology", as I am always keen to learn new techniques. I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR).

Through the AoR, I am listed in the NHS Listing directory which is used by the public and healthcare professionals to identify high quality professional practitioners.

In addition to the above, I have been awarded Indian Head Massage and Reiki qualifications. I am also a Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing (TMW) teacher.

For many years I was the on-site Reflexologist at Hewlett-Packard in Filton (Bristol), so I am also experienced in providing treatment within the workplace.

The DayDream Couch

My treatment room is now equipped with the best and most comfortable couch you can possibly imagine! The way it is advertised perfectly describes the feedback I am getting from clients: “the luxurious DayDream couch was designed to offer everything a therapist needs to provide an unforgettable experience. Clients don’t just get treated on the DayDream couch, they take a vacation.”

The above combined with my expertise and knowledge will give you the perfect experience.

The Treatment Room

Having worked in local clinics in Bristol, I decided to set up my own treatment room in 2008. The treatment room is situated in a quiet residential area in Sea Mills, Bristol.

Parking is guaranteed in front of the premises, making it easier and stress free for you to come to your Reflexology session.

Treatments take place in a warm, relaxing and comfortable dedicated room, equipped to the highest standard and with the most luxurious treatment couch usually found in professional spa settings.

If you come by public transport, buses 3 and 4 stop at Sea Mills Library/Sea Mills Square, which are only few minutes walk to the treatment room. You can find more details on the contact page.

Association of Reflexologists (AoR) therapist

AoR members hold a recognised reflexology qualification, are fully insured, undertake continuing professional development and abide by the AoR’s comprehensive Code of Practice.

It is important to stress that there are currently no legal requirements with regard to training as a reflexologist in the UK. So you may find some therapists in practice who have done only 1 or 2 days’ training. However, you can be assured that when you choose a member of the Association of Reflexologists, the therapist treating you will have completed 300 hours of learning or more, carried out a minimum of 100 treatments during their training and is required to continue their learning to remain a member.

By choosing an approved AoR therapist, you will be in safe hands. Please don’t settle for less.
